The existing church in downtown Council Bluffs was completely demolished except for the sanctuary. New offices, classrooms, kitchen, gathering area, and multi-purpose room were built. The building’s mechanical systems were removed and updated. Challenges with the project involved asbestos abatement involved with the demolition and a high water table that was encountered during foundation installation. Some of the old stained glass windows were salvaged and used as focal points at the entrance and gathering area. High-end millwork and finishes were installed throughout the new areas.
