Saint John Lutheran Church – Council Bluffs, IA

About This Project

This existing church in downtown Council Bluffs was completely demolished except for the sanctuary. New offices, classrooms, kitchen, gathering area and multi-purpose room were built. The building’s mechanical systems were removed and updated. Challenges with the project involved asbestos abatement involved with the demolition and a high water table that was encountered during foundation installation. Some of the old stained glass windows were salvaged and used as focal points at the entrance and gathering area. High end millwork and finishes were installed throughout the new areas.
