We utilize our in-house VDC team to produce a multi-faced BIM-use approach to our construction projects from the inception to closeout deliverables. We focus and continue to hone our skills in the following BIM uses:
Model-Based Operations Planning
Models are used to visually communicate phased construction planning, sequencing, site utilization, work packages, and means and methods for construction operations.
Project Review Model
A federated model is prepared for planning and visualization purposes using specialty project review software such as Autodek BIM 360, Autodesk Navisworks or Trimble Sketchup
4D Modeling
4D models (3D models with the added dimension of time) are utilized to effectively plan the phased occupancy in a renovation, retrofit, addition, or to show the construction sequence and space requirements on a construction site. 4D modeling is a powerful visualization and communication tool that can give a project team, including the client, a better understanding of project milestones and construction plans.
Work Plan Drawings
Models are used by contractors to visually describe self-performed work processes to project team members. Models are used to generate work plan drawing packages that include important construction details not included in the construction documents such as concrete lift drawing that provide embedment, penetration and block-out locations or crane pick and placement details.
Virtual Mockup
A process in which 3D design software is used to design and analyze the construction of a complex construction system (e.g. form work, glazing, reinforcing, etc.) in order to increase planning.
BIM-Based Quantity Estimating and Conceptual Budgets
This process increases accuracy during the schematic, design development and construction documentation phases of the budgeting process. This creates an accurate estimate for the stakeholders to review in a timely manner and allows us to make informed decisions and for the project to continue to mature without delays using traditional take-off methods.

After the completion of the project, we can create as-built model deliverables for assistance in future remodel and renovation projects.
